At the start of 2026 I found myself in Ipswich for a few days, rehearsing for a concert in one of the town’s churches. It was a bitterly cold start to the year, with sub-zero overnight temperatures and a smattering of ice and snow. That wasn’t going to stop me taking my early morning walks, but I chose to travel light, using just my iPhone rather than a camera which I could potentially drop if I hit some ice.
Walking around the marina just after dawn I found plenty of interesting scenes to photograph and some gorgeous early morning light.
